New School Year 2024/25

We are excited to begin the 2024/2025 school year at Gdynia International School. This moment brings many new opportunities for students, teachers, and parents. We are fully prepared to face the challenges ahead.

Learning is based on the Cambridge International Primary program, providing comprehensive education, supporting students in developing their talents and creativity. We are continuously evolving and improving our school’s infrastructure each year to create the best possible conditions for our students.

During the summer, we carried out several renovation projects inside the school building, significantly enhancing the comfort and safety of our students. One of the key projects was the renovation of several classrooms and the preparation of a new common room equipped with a kitchen and sanitary facilities. Additionally, we installed a modern ventilation system on the ground floor, which will improve air quality throughout the building, ensuring better air circulation and temperature regulation, especially during the summer and winter months.

We also made several changes, including:
– Renovating class 0.
– Installing new, taller, and wider doors in the preschool and bathrooms on the ground floor.
– Preparing a new disabled toilet on the ground floor.
– Almost completing a new therapy room.
– Renovating the Computer Room and the bathroom on the 1st floor with separate toilets for older girls and female staff.
– A new cloakroom for older students.

We also opened a new catering room, allowing students to eat their ordered lunches using proper cutlery and crockery.
Outside, we undertook several upgrades to our playground, including installing new rubber tiles under the swings and building new stairs connecting the playground’s levels. We also installed two new chess tables—one at the front of the building and another on the Western playground. A new bicycle rack has been set up, and grass planting around the new additions is in progress.

In the coming months, we plan to:
– Install two new front doors and a door between the entrance and the ground floor corridor.
– Lay astroturf around the front chess table and swings.
– Extend the fencing on the Western playground.
– Clean up the staff parking area.

We would also like to welcome new staff members:

Ms Ewa, who is teaching Polish to classes 2, 4, 5 and 6, as well as being the main teacher for Class 6.
Mr Rafał, who is teaching English to grades 4 and 5, as well as ICT.
Ms. Dorota, assisting Class 1.
Ms. Izabela, teaching in grade 2.
Ms. Sandra, who will join us full-time on September 30th as the main teacher for Class 1 and English teacher for grades 3 and 4.

We have more plans ahead, both educational and organizational, and we look forward to tackling these new challenges. We wish everyone a successful and fulfilling school year!
