Gdynia International School (GIS) Primary School, opened in 2021, following the success of GIS Preschool, which was founded in 2013. The School allows children in the Preschool to continue their education and it creates new opportunities for young children in the region to gain a high level of education, mostly through the English language.
The teaching staff is selected according to their qualifications, experience, and a proven aptitude for teaching and managing children. We work towards all children being fluent in 3 languages. The main two will be English and Polish. The 3rd language should be a European language. In 2021/2022, the 3rd language will be Spanish. As the school grows, there will be more options to choose.
The teaching programme follows the British National Programme and also meets the requirements set out by the Polish Ministry of Education (MEN). The weekly teaching programme includes English, Polish, Spanish, mathematics, music, art and physical education. The children are encouraged to actively participate in school and class discussions, special events and various extra-curricular clubs.
Below we present details of the offer, recruitment, educational principles, lesson plan, teaching staff, as well as photos from the life of the School.
