Gdynia International School (GIS) Primary School, opened in 2021. In 2024 GIS was approved as a Cambridge International School. The unity of GIS Preschool, which was founded in 2013, and thePrimary School allows for a very smooth transition for children to continue their education in a bilingual environment, mostly through the English language.
The teaching staff is selected according to their qualifications, experience, and a proven aptitude for teaching and managing children. We work towards all children being fluent in several languages. The main two languages are English and Polish. The 3rd main language is Spanish. As the children develop they are introduced to other languages.
The teaching programme follows the Cambridge Programme and also meets the requirements set out by the Polish Ministry of Education (MEN). The weekly teaching programme includes English, Polish, Spanish, mathematics, music, art, physical education and all of the topics and subjects that are in both the British and the Polish Programmes. The children are encouraged to actively participate in school and class discussions, special events and various extra-curricular clubs.
