Students from Gdynia International School – Primary School are participating in the “Call to Earth” initiative, which is dedicated to conservation, environmentalism and sustainability. CNN Television is holding the second annual Call to Earth Day to protect oceans which are under threat like never before. Whether it’s from overfishing, pollution or climate change, species and habitats are threatened by human action. That’s why, the aim of the “Call to Earth” campaign is to reverse this negative trend.
As a part of the project, our students made a big art work from recycled materials, presenting a turtle which is particularly threatened by the pollution of waters with various plastic materials. In this way, they want to demonstrate the great responsibility of people to care for the natural environment of the oceans, seas and inland waters.
