OPEN DAY

Welcome to GDYNIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, Primary School and Preschool.
On Saturday, August 30th, we invite you to our Open Day,
10:00-13:00. Gdynia, Kapitańska 37.
Everybody is invited for lemonade and sweet treats.

We have a SPECIAL SURPRISE for the children. While their parents are busy walking around the building and speaking with the staff, children can participate in the special workshop ”Holiday memories”. They will have artistic and sensory activities with our art teacher. Everybody can make a piece of art and take it home.

  • Gdynia International School has accreditation from Cambridge and is the only school in the Tri-city officially certified as a Cambridge International School.
  • Our programme encourages students to develop the attributes of the Cambridge Learner and become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. Ready to succeed in tomorrow’s world!
  • Space
    • The school and the preschool are located in a green and quiet part of Gdynia.
    • The facilities offer a lot of space, including 2 playgrounds, a gym hall and a dining room.
  • Small Groups
    The maximum number of children per group is 18 in the Preschool and16 in our Class 0 and the Primary School.
  • International Environment
    GIS currently have children, families and staff from the following countries: Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, India, Latvia, Russia, Spain, UK, Ireland, Portugal, USA, Ukraine, China and, of course Poland.
  • Our education is based on the Cambridge programme.
  • All classes are conducted in English (except for Polish and Spanish).
  • Children learn to read and write from a very young age, using the UK Jolly Phonics Programme.
  • The level of literacy of the children in our preschool is very high in both English and Polish.
  • As well as classes in phonetics, reading and writing, children in our preschool learn about the world around them including science, geography, history and citizenship.
  • In our weekly schedule we also provide physical activities: dancing, gymnastics and eurhythmics classes.
  • There is also a range of extra activities to choose in the afternoon –sports, chess, theatre-mindfulness, Spanish club or lego-robotics.
