Friday, 27th of June, was the last day of GIS Primary School’s 4th year. It was an eventful year and many of us feel that it was the best of the past 4 years, including our best Family Day BBQ and our best show so far.
Every year we all learn more. The children develop in many, many ways. They develop academically and socially. They also gain important performance and sporting skills. Next year Class 7 students will have the opportunity to pass their FCE exam.
As parents, we also develop. We face a range of new challenges with our children, but also celebrate their new levels of achievement.
The Staff are developing their various professional skills and most of the staff is participating in Cambridge Training Courses.
The school director, Mr Kevin D’Arcy, gave special thanks to the Parent’s Council, who were very supportive, including making our Family Day BBQ such a great success and for their organizing a wonderful banquet after the Christmas Show. Special thanks was also given to Mr Roman Yurkin for his support with filming the shows and sharing with us many of his great photos.
We look forward to seeing all of the children and the parents in the next school year and will be working over the summer to give the school a fresh look.
