We have a special surprise for the children. When parents are busy walking around the building and talking to the staff, children can participate in a special “Slime Is Fun Workshop”. They will have artistic and sensory activities. They will create their own slime, salt dough and a Newtonian fluid. We recommend brining clothes that can get dirty. Children will experiment, have lots of fun and play with different states of matter. Join us!
What is so unique about Gdynia International School?
PRESCHOOL
– In the preschool all classes are conducted in English (except for Polish lessons, from age 5).
– Children in the preschool learn phonics from a young age, using the UK Jolly Phonics Programme.
– The level of literacy of the children in our preschool is very high in both English and Polish.
– As well as classes in phonetics, reading and writing, children in our preschool learn about the world around them including science, geography, history and citizenship.
PRIMARY SCHOOL
– The main language of learning in the Primary School is English. The children also learn all the Polish vocabulary that they need to eventually be successful in their National Polish Class 8 exams.
– GIS covers two educations systems – The UK National Curriculum and The Polish Programme. This allows our children to move between GIS and both Polish schools and other international English speaking schools in the future.
– Clubs
Our Preschool and School offer a number of optional afternoon clubs, including Yoga, Karate, Theatre, Dance, Spanish, ballgames, chess, karate and Lego Robotics.
