We started our adventure with Gdynia International School a year ago. Before that we lived in Spain for a few years and our child also attended a British school. We knew very well what we were looking for and only GIS met our expectations regarding education and the way of running a preschool. The most important in this place are the managers – Mr. Kevin and Ms. Marta – people who are extremely open and pay attention to the needs of the individual – what counts is not only the monthly transfer to the account, but also the development and needs of the children in their care.
Teachers and staff members are competent and have an excellent approach to children. It was also important to us that the preschool is a Wifi-free zone – children are less exposed to microwave radiation. At the same time, Mr. Kevin has comprehensive policies on the staff using mobiles, which allows the staff to pay full attention to children during work. It is a place for people who know what they want, what they require and what GIS offers them.
A very important attraction was also the prospect of continuing education in the primary school, which opens from September 2021 and the continuity of teaching methods. We are very interested in GIS Primary School as an educational institution adapted to the needs of the 21st century with a focus on paying attention to children’s individual development rather than „creating” children who are not able to think critically and shape their own personality, while maintaining the classic moral and cultural principles of a child.
